  6.     This program is designed to run by itself and show you all
  7. the features of THE TOTAL HAM PLUS. While it is running you may hit
  8. ESC at any pause to abort the program or if you hit any other key the
  9. pause will be aborted. That will allow you to go on in the program if
  10. you are finished reading the information displayed. This can speed up 
  11. the program or allow you to step though to where you left off if you
  12. have aborted it previously.

  39. For those who have not seen the TOTAL HAM Series, this is a program designed
  40. to be used online while on the air. Everything you need is online & readily
  41. available within the same program. The TOTAL HAM (shareware version) has been
  42. very popular since early 1988.

  44. NOW a much enchanced version, THE TOTAL HAM PLUS, is available as a commercial
  45. program.

  47. TOTAL HAM PLUS is lite bar menu driven & very fast on hard drives.

  49. TOTAL HAM PLUS gives you while online: logging(3 modes),Beam headings from your
  50. QTH, DXCC,WAS,WAZ,WAC,COUNTY HUNTERS,ITU ZONE & DX ZONE checklists,
  51. QSL managers info, QSL card handling, log maintenence & more.

  53. In the logging mode (Regular,contest & net formats available) you have at your
  54. finger tips, your country, state, county, continent & itu & cq dx zone 
  55. checklists. You also have special info screens available such as the
  56. international prefix allocation table, authorized & unauthorized frequencies 
  57. for classes of licenses. A user kept QSL managers list is also available.
  58. Entering a call sign at the prompt will display any other contacts made with
  59. that callsign. If that callsign has any QSL manager listed in the QSL managers
  60. list, that manager will be displayed also. Adding a qsl manager or changing an
  61. existing manager while logging the contact will automatically update the QSL
  62. managers list. All logging modes automatically enter the time & date 
  63. (converted to UTC from you computers system clock), band,mode, & will carry
  64. over the previous signal reports & frequency (changable if you wish after
  65. entry). A flag is available to flag this contact as wanted for QSL purposes
  66. (new country, rare, etc).

  68. The contest mode is a shortened, fast entry version of regular logging. Along 
  69. with auto entry of time & date, the contest name & a 59 signal report is auto
  70. entered (changable if you wish after entry). A Contact number is displayed &
  71. automatically incremented for use if the contest uses contact numbers.

  73. The net mode is the same as regular logging except that it will keep track of
  74. the stations worked while in the net mode & will display, at the touch of a 
  75. function key, all contacts made & info you have entered. Who's on the net with 
  76. you????

  78. The country,state,county,dx zone & itu zone checklists give you online info 
  79. about whether you have confirmed or need a confirmation from a station. They
  80. display all bands & SSB or CW modes with X's for those confirmed.

  82. The QSL manager list mentioned above can be kept up to date by entering info
  83. found in any source. You may also edit,delete or print the list.

  85. The QSL card handling option allows you to enter a QSL card you have received
  86. by entering the call sign. your log is searched & displays all contacts with 
  87. that callsign not already marked as received. This will flag your log entry 
  88. with the fact that a card was recieved & allow you to also enter this card as
  89. a new country,state,county or zone into one of the checklists at this time.
  90. When you are ready to send QSL cards, you may print lists to send cards to.
  91. or print information labels for use on QSL Cards. The first list printed is
  92. all those you flagged as wanted & the second list is all those you need to
  93. send to. There is also an option to flag contacts as not wanting to qsl to
  94. prevent unneeded contacts from showing in these lists.

  96. The log maintenance option allows editing & listing or printing of your log.
  97. It allows print outs by date, month, whole log or log since last printing.

  99. Those who have used the shareware version "THE TOTAL HAM" will find many
  100. enhancements, changes and additions in "THE TOTAL HAM PLUS".
